Q. Do you come to my home?
A. Absolutely! One of the best reasons for using PCSoft is that you don't have to lug computer parts around with you. We come to you - whether you are at a home or office - we will be there the same day! That's the beauty of using PCSoft.
Q. I have a virus on my computer - can you fix it?
A First we have to ascertain what type of virus is on the computer. But in most cases, we can get rid of the virus and also teach you how not to get another virus on your computer. We can install internet security so that you do not have to worry about this happening again. We do not only offer service, but in some cases, when there is not a security system on the computer, we highly recommend it and can even install the software for you.
Q. How much does PCSoft Cost?
A. You will pay a flat fee when we come out to your house, within 24 hours of the call. The flat fee offsets the hourly fee that you pay for the computer repair. The flat fee is the minimum of what you will pay, but in most cases, it is all that you pay the fee is taken from the time our technician is out there fixing your computer. If the job is too much for him to fix on the site, he will offer to take it to our computer repair shop to save you money. This does not happen often, though. For the most part, he will know what to do when he gets there and have the job done in minutes.
Q. I just got a wireless router and can't figure out how to set it up - can you help me?
A. Absolutely! This is one of our most popular type of calls. We can have this set up for you in no time flat. Once you have a wireless network running in your home or office, you will wonder how you ever got along without it.
Q. Are these guys easy to understand?
A. Do you mean "do they speak geek speak?" They may be computer whiz technicians, but they are very easy to understand as they are well versed in the fact that most people think that the "motherboard" is something out of Star Trek. They will be able to explain the problem in plain English so that you understand exactly what is going on.
Q. How long does it take for an appointment?
A. Call us and you will have someone there in 24 hours. No week to week appointments. We pride ourselves in the fact that we can have someone to you within the same day. We know that computer problems cannot wait and neither should you.
Q. What type of payments do you accept?
A. Cash, Cheque or Credit card are all accepted forms of payments. We will ask for this information on the phone before the visit, but you will not be charged until the visit takes place.
Q. What is remote service?
A. We have two types of support - both on site, where we come to your place of business or home, or remote where you can get help over the phone. Both services are useful. If you have a small problem, for example, or live outside the Sydney or New South Wales area, you may prefer our remote services. Remote services are useful to help you with your problem through the use of the Internet.
